2024 started a new journey for me. I got married, quit my job, traveled a lot, and moved into a new home in Germany. When 2024 began, I knew the year would be beautiful in its own way, but I didn’t expect what I got out of it: so many new experiences and people. I was able to take a lot of time to myself without societal pressures as well. The issue with 2024 was that it lacked stability. We spent 2-3 months in Germany and the US, making it hard to keep up with routines, and we constantly overbooked ourselves, so I’d like 2025 to center around a sustainable lifestyle. I’m not someone who makes resolutions or a yearly plan because I don’t like setting myself up for failure, but here’s what I’m looking forward to this year.
A fresh start
I’m in the process of moving to Germany. My husband and I moved to the cutest home near Munich.
- Getting to know the community where I live and enjoying everything it has to offer
- Making new friends
- Learning German
- Finding work that satisfies me
Stability
I loved my 2024, but it was not a very stable year. There was so much travel, and my husband and I couldn’t settle down as newlyweds. We traveled to and from the US so often I couldn’t sustain a routine.
- Developing a new daily and weekly routine
- Less flying
- Shorter trips to the US
Wellness
2024 started a resting period for me, and I’d like to keep that up; however, I’d like to take better care of myself.
- Continuing daily exercise
- Quarterly hair trims
- Weekly deep conditioning
- Taking more time on my skincare
- Continuing to prioritize rest
Things I love
I had trouble with consistency in 2024, which was related to my healing and lack of stability, but I’d like to find ways to keep up with everything I enjoy daily and weekly.
- Singing
- Writing
- Climbing
- Running
- Strength Training
- Playing with makeup
- Reading
These are all things I already do, but I look forward to being more consistent.
Happy New Year!
Dani
